I lost my only brother when he was 16. I didn't know life before him and I can't accept life without him. It destroys your happiness. It changes your outlook. It makes you mad, sad and guilty at the same time. My brother was generous and beautiful. He was killed 2 weeks after I graduated from college and a week to the day after my 22nd birthday. I promise that I will never let his memory fade. I don't want to forget one story or one smile--my memories are all I have left. Does anyone know what it is like to go from being someone's sister to being no one's sister? It's a long hard road and only those who are walking with us know just how long and hard it truly is.
